Israel Ongoing Support

Hollywood, Florida, community members and organizations have rallied together to support Israel amidst the conflict with Hamas. We organized and packed over 485,000 pounds of humanitarian aid, including essential items like medical supplies, solar generators, and basic necessities such as socks and toiletries. The effort has seen diverse participation from Floridians of all backgrounds. Holocaust survivor Ivan Gluck, who volunteered, likened the support to a reflection of the Jewish heart and emphasized unity and goodness in the face of adversity. The Greater Miami Jewish Federation has played a key role in these efforts, and the Consul General of Israel in Miami, Maor Elbaz-Starinsky, expressed deep gratitude for the support and love shown. Over $25 million in donations have been raised, and the supplies were sent to Israel via a chartered plane organized by the Federation.
