Warehouse of donations headed to Israel, south Florida community community coming together to help

Israeli officials have been sounding the alarm that the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) needs help securing tactical gear and supplies for its soldiers.

A group of South Florida residents are answering that call and working around the clock to make sure they have everything they need to fight the war against Hamas.

Lior Hazan cleared out his 12,000 square-foot warehouse the day he heard Hamas brutally attacked Israeli soldiers and civilians so that he could start collecting supplies such as medical gear and vests for the army.

“The next day we opened the warehouse and said they are probably going to need some aid,” said Hazan.

With the help of his partners, the spade was soon filled with boxes ready to be shipped to the war-torn country.

“This is basically the first time that the community comes together for this kind of crisis,” said Nir Lerman, an organizer of the donation center in Broward.

The group of men in Broward County has already sent more than 80 pallets of supplies to Israel, and the donations are coming from all over Florida.

“We got help from our great Governor, Ron DeSantis who was a huge help he got us planes, cargo planes,” said Hazan.

The team says they will continue collecting supplies until the war ends.
